A rough plan for the day
Two hours is the sweet spot. Half an hour for arrivals and food, three or four games in the middle, then presents, then cake. Any longer and guests start looking at their phones; any shorter and it feels rushed.
Baby shower questions
Who traditionally hosts a baby shower?
Historically a friend or a member of the extended family rather than the parents themselves, though that convention has loosened considerably. Plenty of parents now host their own.
When should the shower be held?
Usually in the third trimester, around weeks 28 to 34. Late enough to feel real, early enough that the mum-to-be is still comfortable and there is no risk of the baby arriving first.
How many guests is normal?
Fifteen to thirty is typical. Larger than that and games become unwieldy; smaller and it becomes more of a lunch, which is also fine.
Do I need a paid Canva account?
