Printable Baby Shower Thank You Cards

Writing thank you notes with a newborn in the house is nobody's idea of a good time, which is why it helps to have the cards printed and waiting before the baby arrives. Print a stack in one go and write them at whatever pace you manage.

Personalize the printed side with a name, the baby's initials or a photo, and leave the inside blank for a handwritten message.

What to write in a baby shower thank you card

Three lines is enough. Name the specific gift, say how you will use it, and thank them for coming.

“Thank you so much for the blanket. It has already become the one we reach for every night. It meant a lot to have you there.”

If someone sent a gift but could not attend, swap the last line for something about missing them. If they gave money, mention what it is going towards rather than the amount. How long do I have to send them?

Two to three weeks after the shower is the polite window, but nobody is counting. If the baby arrives first, send them when you can and say so in the note — everyone understands.

What size should the cards be?

5x7 or a folded A6. Both fit standard envelopes, and folded gives you a blank inside for the handwritten part.

Can I add a photo of the baby?

Yes. Upload it in Canva and drop it into the image frame. Many parents wait and send the thank you card doubling as a birth announcement.

How many should I print?

Count your guest list and add ten. There are always people who sent something without attending.

Should I send one to someone who did not bring a gift?

A short note thanking them for coming is a kind touch, with no mention of gifts.

Can my partner and I split the list?

Yes, and most couples do. Sign both names regardless of who wrote which.
