Printable Christmas Party Games

Christmas gatherings have a predictable dead patch: everyone has eaten, nobody wants to move, and the conversation has run out. Printable games are the cheapest way to fix it. Print a stack before the day, hand them round, and the room comes back to life.

Each game is editable in Canva, so you can swap questions for ones about your own family and match the colours to your table.

Games in this collection

  • Christmas trivia — rounds on films, carols, traditions and food
  • Christmas bingo — works for all ages, which matters when there are children and grandparents at the same table
  • Guess the carol from the emojis — reliably the loudest game of the day
  • Christmas word scramble and word search — quiet games for the post-lunch slump
  • Who am I and festive charades — for when people are ready to stand up again
  • Would you rather and family trivia — conversation starters disguised as games

Choosing games for a mixed-age room

Bingo and emoji games work for everyone from about six upwards. Trivia splits badly across generations unless you write mixed rounds, so either do that or run it in teams that mix ages deliberately.

Christmas game questions

How many games should I plan?

Three or four across an afternoon, spaced out rather than run back to back. One after lunch, one before presents, one in the evening.

What prizes work?

Small and edible. Chocolate coins, a bottle of something, a scratch card. Nothing that turns competitive relatives serious.

Do these work over video call?

Yes. Send the PDF ahead so people can print or fill it in on screen. Bingo and emoji games translate best; charades does not.

Can I change the questions?

Yes. Every question is an editable text box in Canva, so you can put in family in-jokes or local references.

How many copies do I print?

One per person plus a few spares, on ordinary printer paper. No need for cardstock on games people fill in and bin.
