Printable Nurse & Teacher Appreciation Templates

Appreciation weeks come round every year and the useful stuff is almost always printed: a tag on a small gift, a card that says something specific, a sign for the break room. These templates make a set for a whole department in one printing session.

All editable in Canva.

What to actually write

Specificity is the whole thing. "Thank you for everything" gets read once. "Thank you for how you handled Sam's first week when he would not go in the door" gets kept in a drawer. One concrete moment beats any amount of appreciation language.

The same applies to nurses. Naming the shift, the day, or the thing they did is what makes the card land.

Gift tags on practical gifts

Coffee, snacks for a break room, a gift card, a plant. Teachers and nurses receive a great many mugs and candles. A tag turns something practical into something that reads as considered.

Appreciation questions

When are the appreciation weeks?

Teacher Appreciation Week falls in early May in the US, and Nurses Week runs from 6 to 12 May. Dates shift slightly by country and by employer, so check locally before printing.

How many cards should I print?

Count the team and add five. There is always someone on a different shift who gets missed.

What paper should I use?

250 gsm cardstock for cards, 200 gsm for tags.

Can students fill these in themselves?

Yes, and the handwritten ones are the ones that get kept. Several designs leave a large blank area for exactly that.

Can I add a school or hospital logo?

Yes. Upload it in Canva and place it on any template.
