Printable Food Labels & Tent Cards

Food labels change how a buffet reads. Without them it is a row of unidentified dishes; with them it looks planned. They also answer the allergy question before anyone has to ask it, which at any event with children is worth the ten minutes it takes.

All editable in Canva, printed several to a sheet.

What's in this collection

  • Folded tent cards — stand in front of each dish
  • Flat food labels — lean against a bowl or slot into a holder
  • Water bottle labels — wrap and tape at the back
  • Chocolate bar wrappers — fit a standard large bar, popular as favours
  • Cupcake toppers — print, cut, glue to a toothpick
  • Juice pouch and drinks labels
  • Buffet and dessert table signs

Allergy information

A short line under the dish name is all it takes: contains nuts, dairy free, vegetarian. It saves your guests asking and it saves you standing over the table explaining what is in everything.

Food label questions

What size should tent cards be?

3.5x2 inches folded, which is business card size. Six to eight fit on a sheet.

What paper should I use?

200 to 250 gsm cardstock. Too light and the tent will not stand; too heavy and the fold cracks. Score the fold line first with the back of a knife against a ruler.

How do I attach water bottle labels?

Remove the original label, wrap yours around, and secure the overlap with double sided tape or a glue stick.

Will paper labels survive an ice bucket?

Not for long. If drinks are sitting in ice all afternoon, print on waterproof sticker paper instead.

How do I make cupcake toppers?

Print on cardstock, cut the circles, glue two back to back with a toothpick between so both sides show.

Can I match them to my invitations?

Yes. Duplicate the invitation in Canva and rebuild the labels with the same fonts and colours.
