Printable Wedding Planning Checklists
Wedding planning falls apart in the gaps between apps, spreadsheets and notes on your phone. A printed checklist you can put on the fridge or in a binder is oddly effective, because crossing something off physically is harder to ignore than closing a tab.
These templates are editable, so you can delete the tasks that do not apply to your wedding and add the ones that do.

The order most couples actually book in
Venue and date first, because everything else depends on it. Then photographer and any band or DJ you have your heart set on, since good ones book out a year or more ahead. Caterer next if the venue does not provide it. Dress around nine months out to allow for alterations. Invitations at three months, final numbers at three weeks.
Wedding checklist questions
How far in advance should I start planning?
Twelve to eighteen months is comfortable for a full wedding. Six months is possible if you are flexible on date and venue. Under three months means accepting whatever is still available, which some couples happily do.
What do people most often forget?
Marriage licence deadlines, vendor meals, a rain plan for anything outdoors, and who is taking the gifts home at the end of the night.
Can I edit the tasks?
Yes. Every line is an editable text box in Canva, so you can strip out anything irrelevant and add your own.
What size should I print it?
A4 or letter, which fits a standard binder or clips to a fridge. Some couples print the day-of timeline at A5 to hand out to the wedding party.
Is there a digital version?
You can fill the template in on screen in Canva and keep it on your phone rather than printing it, though most people find the printed version harder to avoid.
