Printable Baby Shower Favor Tags
Favor tags turn a bag of sweets or a candle into something that looks like it was planned. They are the cheapest possible upgrade to a party favour and take ten minutes to make.
Editable in Canva, printed many to a sheet, punched and tied.
Tag shapes and uses
- Round and scalloped tags — tied to a jar, bag or bottle with twine
- Rectangular tags — for boxes and larger favours
- Thank you tags — a simple thank you with the parents' names and the date
- Punny tags — "ready to pop" for popcorn, "baby it's sweet outside" for candy, and so on
- Seed packet and plant tags — for the increasingly common living favour
Favour ideas that people keep
Anything edible or usable. Chocolate, coffee, a small candle, a packet of seeds, hand cream. Anything decorative with the date printed on it goes in a drawer and then a bin, which is worth remembering before ordering ninety of them.
Favor tag questions
What size should favor tags be?
Two inches across for round tags, or 2x3.5 inches for rectangular. Small enough not to overwhelm the favour.
What paper should I use?
200 to 250 gsm cardstock. Thin paper tears at the punch hole when you tie it.
How do I attach them?
A single hole punch and bakers twine or thin ribbon. A hole punch that cuts through cardstock cleanly is worth the few dollars if you are doing more than twenty.
How many fit on a sheet?
Usually twelve to twenty round tags per letter or A4 sheet, depending on size, so ninety favours takes about six sheets.
Can I add a name or date?
Yes. Every text field is editable, though at this size keep it to a few words.
Can I use these as place cards too?
Yes. A tag tied to a napkin with a guest's name on it works as both.
