Printable Kids Activities & Colouring Pages

Activity sheets are the most useful thing you can put on a table where children will be, and the cheapest. They cover the awkward first twenty minutes of a party, the gap between courses at a wedding, and the two hours of a family Christmas afternoon where the adults would quite like to talk.

All editable in Canva.

What's in this collection

  • Colouring pages in themed sets — animals, space, dinosaurs, unicorns, vehicles
  • Activity packs combining colouring, mazes, word searches and spot the difference
  • Scavenger hunt sheets, indoor and outdoor
  • Wedding kids packs — the single most appreciated thing on a children's table at a reception
  • Party bag activity sheets
  • Colour-in place mats and banners
  • Seasonal packs for Christmas, Halloween and Easter

Matching to age

Thick outlines and simple shapes for two to four. More detail for five to seven. From eight, mazes, word searches and spot the difference hold attention far better than colouring. Most packs mix levels so one printout covers siblings.

Kids activity questions

How many sheets should I print per child?

Two or three. They finish faster than you expect and a lull is exactly what you were trying to avoid.

Crayons or felt tips?

Crayons. Felt tips bleed through onto tablecloths and clothes, and somebody's parent will notice.

What paper should I use?

Ordinary printer paper, printed in black and white draft mode. These are outline designs, so colour printing wastes ink for no benefit.

Do these work at a wedding?

Yes, and they buy the parents an hour. A pack plus a small box of crayons at each child's place setting is one of the most remembered small touches at a reception.

Can I add a name?

Yes. Most sheets have an editable text field for a name or an age.

Can I use them as party bag fillers?

Yes, and it beats plastic toys. A folded activity pack with crayons costs almost nothing and actually gets used.
