Greenery is what you choose when you want the stationery to feel fresh without committing to a colour. Eucalyptus, olive branches, ferns and monstera leaves in soft green on white sit comfortably at almost any event, in any season, for any age.

Why greenery is so widely used
It is the only botanical theme with no gender or formality signal. That makes it the default for gender neutral baby showers, for weddings where the couple cannot agree on a palette, and for any event where the guest list spans four generations.
It is also the cheapest theme to execute physically. Real eucalyptus stems cost a fraction of flowers, last a fortnight, and can be laid straight down the middle of a table with nothing else.
Greens and what they suggest
- Eucalyptus is soft, silvery and slightly blue. The most versatile.
- Olive is warmer and drier. Suits Mediterranean and outdoor events.
- Fern is finer and more delicate. Good with white and cream.
- Monstera and palm are bolder and tropical. Suit summer parties, less so weddings.

Does greenery work in winter?
Yes. Darker greens with cream and gold read as winter rather than spring, and eucalyptus is a winter staple in florists anyway.
Can I pair greenery with another colour?
Yes. Sage with cream, blush or terracotta all work. More than one accent starts to muddy it.
Is it suitable for a gender neutral baby shower?
It is one of the most common choices for exactly that reason.
What paper should I use?
Matte white or cream cardstock. Greens print noticeably duller on gloss.
Will the green print accurately?
Soft sage tends to print greyer than it appears on screen. Test one copy first, and if it is too flat, nudge the saturation up slightly in Canva.
