Gender Reveal Party Printables

A gender reveal is a short, single-moment party, which changes what you actually need. The invitation, a voting station, a few signs and something for guests to do in the twenty minutes before the reveal itself.

All editable in Canva.

The voting station

This is the piece that makes the party work. Two labeled jars or boards, a stack of ballot cards, and a sign explaining it, set up by the door. Guests vote as they arrive, it gives everyone something to do immediately, and the tally makes a good photo before the reveal.

Keeping the secret

Whoever is handling the reveal needs the information in a sealed envelope from the sonographer, and they need to not be someone who cannot keep a secret. It sounds obvious. It is the most common way these get spoiled.

Gender reveal questions

How long should a gender reveal party be?

Ninety minutes to two hours. The reveal itself should land about halfway through, so there is time for reaction and photos afterwards rather than everyone leaving immediately.

When should invitations go out?

Two to three weeks ahead. These are usually smaller and more casual than a shower.

Should we combine it with the baby shower?

Some people do, though they serve different purposes and happen at different points in the pregnancy. A reveal is usually around 16 to 20 weeks, a shower in the third trimester.

What do guests actually do?

Vote, eat, play one or two games, watch the reveal. It does not need more structure than that.

Can we do this remotely for family who cannot attend?

Yes. Send the ballot card as an image beforehand, and have someone hold a phone on a video call during the reveal.
