How squares work
A 10x10 grid, one hundred boxes. Guests write their name in boxes before kickoff. Once every box is claimed, numbers zero to nine are drawn randomly for the rows and columns. At the end of each quarter, whoever holds the box matching the last digit of each team's score wins.
It is the only game that keeps people interested in a blowout, because your square can come good in the fourth quarter of a game nobody is watching.
Commercial bingo
Cards filled with things likely to appear in the ads: a talking animal, a celebrity cameo, a car on a mountain road. Genuinely the best game in the room for anyone who does not follow football.

How many squares sheets do I need?
One grid per pool. Print two if you want a separate one for a smaller stake or for children.
Do I need to charge for squares?
No. Plenty of hosts run it for a prize instead, which avoids any awkwardness about money.
How many copies of prop sheets?
One per guest plus spares, on ordinary paper.
When should I hand them out?
Squares before kickoff, since the grid must be full first. Prop sheets as people arrive.
Can I change the prop bet questions?
Yes. Every line is editable in Canva, so you can add questions about the specific teams playing.
