Printable Family Reunion Templates
Family reunions have a logistics problem no other party has: three or four generations, people who have never met, and a name badge situation that gets awkward fast. Printed materials solve most of it.

Name badges with the branch on them
The single most useful thing you can print. Name, plus which side of the family and whose child or grandchild they are. It removes the entire category of conversation that begins with someone quietly working out how they are related to you.
The family tree display
Print it large, leave blank space, and put pens next to it. People will correct it, add names you missed, and fill in dates. By the end of the weekend you have a better tree than the one you started with.
Family reunion questions
How far ahead should we plan?
Six to twelve months for anything requiring travel or accommodation. Send save the dates as soon as the date is fixed.
How do we handle food for a large group?
A potluck sign-up sheet, organized by category. Otherwise you get eleven desserts and no salad.
What games work across generations?
Family trivia, guess the baby photo and who-said-it. All three work for children and grandparents simultaneously, which most games do not.
How do we collect photos beforehand?
Ask three months out and chase twice. Photo collection always takes longer than planning the rest of the weekend.
Should we do t-shirts?
They help enormously in a busy park or campsite, especially with children. Use the roster sheet to collect sizes early.
