Printable Mother's Day Templates

Most of what makes Mother's Day land is written rather than bought. These templates cover the cards, the questionnaires children fill in, and the small printed things that end up in a drawer for twenty years.

All editable in Canva.

What's in this collection

  • Mother's Day cards for mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers and mother figures
  • All about my mom questionnaires for children to fill in
  • Coupon books — breakfast in bed, a lie-in, an afternoon off
  • Brunch invitations and menus
  • Coloring pages and kids activity sheets
  • Photo keepsake prints and wall art

The questionnaire

A sheet a child fills in: how old is your mom, what is she best at, what does she always say, what is her favorite food. The answers are wrong in ways that make them worth keeping, and a set filled in each year becomes a record of both the child and how they saw you.

A note on who it is for

Mother's Day is complicated for a lot of people. The cards in this collection include options for grandmothers, stepmothers, aunts and mother figures, and several without the word mother on them at all.

Mother's Day questions

What size should cards be?

A5 folded from A4, or 5x7 folded from letter. Both fit standard envelopes.

What paper should I use?

250 to 300 gsm cardstock so the card stands up.

Do the coupon books actually get used?

If they are specific. An hour of quiet on a Saturday morning gets redeemed. A generic hug does not.

Can children do the questionnaires themselves?

From about four, with help on the reading. The handwriting is most of the appeal.

Can I add a photo?

Yes. Upload it in Canva and drop it into any image frame.
