Printable Christmas Templates

Christmas has more printable moments than any other occasion: the party invitation in November, the games on the day, the labels on the food, the tags on every present. Buying templates once and printing what you need beats a shopping trip in the third week of December.

Everything is editable in Canva, so a set bought this year works next year with the date changed.

What's in this collection

  • Christmas party games — trivia, bingo, emoji carols, charades
  • Christmas party invitations for family, office and neighbourhood parties
  • Gift tags — the item most worth printing, since shop tags cost more than the paper
  • Place cards and menus for the Christmas table
  • Food labels and buffet signs
  • Banners and welcome signs
  • Christmas Eve boxes, letters from Santa and elf notes
  • Kids activity packs for the long afternoon

When to print what

Party invitations go out in early to mid-November, because December fills up fast and the last two weekends are gone by then. Games, labels and place cards can wait until the week before. Gift tags are worth printing in one batch in early December rather than five at a time as you wrap.

Christmas printable questions

When should I send a Christmas party invitation?

Four to six weeks ahead, so early November for an early December party. Any later and you are competing with three other events on the same night.

What games work with mixed ages?

Bingo and emoji games work from about six upwards. Trivia splits badly across generations unless you write mixed rounds or play in mixed teams.

What paper should I use for gift tags?

200 to 250 gsm cardstock. Thin paper tears at the punch hole when you thread string through.

Can I reuse these next year?

Yes. Change the year in Canva and print again. That is the main advantage over buying printed sets each December.

What about printing costs?

Christmas designs often have dark or full-bleed backgrounds, which use a lot of ink. If you are printing a large batch at home, choose lighter designs or send the file to a print shop.
