Name badges with the old photo
Current name, yearbook photo, and the name they went by at school if it has changed. It removes the awkward squinting that otherwise takes up the first hour, and it is the detail attendees consistently mention afterwards.

Collect current emails at the reunion, on paper, while everyone is in the room. Whoever organizes the next one will otherwise start from a list that is a decade out of date.
Class reunion questions
How far ahead should we plan?
Nine to twelve months. People need to book travel and time off, and finding the class takes longer than the planning itself.
How do we track down classmates?
Social media groups, the alumni office, and asking each person found to name three others. That last step finds more people than anything else.
What should be on a name badge?
Current name, yearbook photo, and the surname used at school. Print on cardstock and use pin backs or lanyards.
Should we mark classmates who have died?
A small in memoriam display with names and photos is usual and appreciated. Keep it separate from the main displays and check names carefully.
What games work?
Graduation year trivia and superlative ballots. Both get people talking to classmates they have not seen.
