Printable Pool Party Templates

Pool parties need less paper than most events and the paper they do need has to survive being near water. This collection covers the invitation, the safety signs and the games, all editable in Canva.

What's in this collection

  • Pool party invitations for kids and adults
  • Pool rules signs — the practical ones and the decorative ones
  • Welcome signs and towel station signs
  • Food and drinks table signs
  • Games — scavenger hunts, cannonball scorecards, water balloon challenges
  • Water bottle labels and food labels
  • Party favor tags for goggles and towels

Printing for a wet environment

Ordinary paper near a pool lasts about an hour. Three options that work:

  • Laminate anything that has to last the day. A pouch laminator costs less than thirty dollars and pays for itself over one summer.
  • Print on waterproof sticker or synthetic paper for labels going on cold bottles.
  • Frame it behind glass for signs sitting on a table.

What to put on the invitation

The usual details, plus what to bring: swimsuit, towel, sunscreen. For children, state whether there will be lifeguard supervision and whether parents are expected to stay. Both questions get asked otherwise.

Pool party questions

What should I put on a pool rules sign?

No running, no diving in the shallow end, no swimming alone, and whether children need an adult in the water. Keep it to five lines.

How do I stop labels going soggy?

Waterproof sticker paper for bottles, lamination for anything else. Regular paper on an iced drink softens within the hour.

Should parents stay at a kids pool party?

For under-eights, yes, and say so on the invitation. It is a supervision question rather than a social one.

What games work in and around a pool?

Scavenger hunts on the deck, and scorecard-based games for diving and cannonballs. Anything paper-based stays away from the water.

What time should it start?

Late afternoon in summer, avoiding the strongest midday sun. Four until seven works well with food at the end.
