Printable Wedding Welcome Signs

The welcome sign sets the tone before anyone sits down, and it ends up in more photographs than almost any other piece of stationery. These templates let you make one that matches your invitations without commissioning a calligrapher.

Add your names and the date, choose your size, and print. Set it on an easel at the entrance, lean it against the ceremony arch, or frame it afterwards as a keepsake.

Sizes and where to print

  • 8x10 or A4 — prints at home, works as a smaller table sign
  • 16x20 and 18x24 — the usual welcome sign sizes, printed at a copy shop
  • 24x36 — large format for an easel at the entrance

For anything above A4, export as a high resolution PDF and take it to a local print shop or upload to an online printer. Foam board costs a little more than paper and stays upright on an easel without curling, which matters outdoors.

Matching signs

Most couples duplicate the welcome sign design in Canva and change the text to make a set: an order of service sign, a seating chart, a bar sign, a card and gifts sign, and table numbers. Doing it from one template keeps the whole day visually consistent.

Wedding welcome sign questions

What should a wedding welcome sign say?

Usually "Welcome to the wedding of" followed by both names and the date. Some couples add a short line such as "Please find a seat, we are all family today" if guests are not assigned to sides.

Will the file be sharp at 24x36?

Yes, if you export from Canva as PDF Print rather than a JPG. The templates are built to hold up at poster size.

What should I print it on?

Foam board for anything on an easel, especially outdoors. Heavy matte cardstock is fine for signs that sit in a frame.

How far in advance should I print?

One to two weeks. Print shops usually turn posters around in a day or two, and printing early leaves time to fix a typo.

Can I use an acrylic or mirror sign instead?

Yes. Many print shops will print your PDF directly onto acrylic. The file works the same way; you are just choosing a different material.
