What to include on a birthday invitation
- Whose birthday it is, and the age if you want it on there
- Date, start time and, for children, an end time
- Venue name and full street address
- RSVP name, phone number and a reply-by date

What size are the invitations?
The Silly Goose design and the "6 7" series are 5x7 inches. The pool party designs, Under the Sea and the four adult designs are set up on US Letter.
Which invitations come with an e-vite?
Elegant Burgundy, Minimalist 50th, Boho Rainbow, Cocktail Party Martini and Under the Sea include an e-vite. The other designs can still be exported from Canva as a JPG or PDF and messaged to guests.
How far ahead should I send birthday invitations?
Three to four weeks for a regular party and six to eight for a milestone birthday where people may travel. For kids' parties, sooner is better because weekend slots fill quickly.
What paper should I print on?
Cardstock between 250 and 300 gsm gives a card that feels like a real invitation. Our printing guide covers home printers and print shops.
How do I say no gifts politely?
Keep it short at the bottom of the card: "Your presence is the only present" or simply "No gifts, please." Guests appreciate the clarity.
Can I edit the wording and colors?
Yes. All text and colors are editable in Canva, so you can rewrite every line, change the age, and shift the palette to match the cake.
