Printable Birthday Party Templates
Birthday parties get planned in a hurry more often than not. These templates are made for that: buy a design, personalise it in ten minutes, print it that evening, and have the party sorted for the weekend.
Everything is editable in Canva, which means one design works for a fifth birthday and a fiftieth by changing a number and a colour.
What's in this collection
- Birthday invitations for kids and adults, printed or sent digitally
- Birthday cards with a blank inside for a handwritten message
- Party games and activity sheets to fill the middle of the afternoon
- Banners and signs for the food table and the front door
- Coloring pages to keep younger guests occupied
Shop by age
Milestone birthdays get their own designs, from a first birthday through to a ninetieth. The wording, the number treatment and the tone shift with the age: a first birthday is soft and sentimental, a thirtieth is usually funnier, and a seventieth tends back towards elegant.
Birthday printable questions
How far ahead should I send invitations?
Three to four weeks for a regular party. Six to eight weeks for a milestone birthday where people may need to travel. For children's parties, earlier is better because weekends book up.
How many games do I need for a kids' party?
Three or four for a two hour party, with one spare in case something falls flat. Alternate active games with sitting-down ones so nobody melts down.
Can I use one design for the whole party?
Yes, and it looks better if you do. Buy a matching set, or duplicate one template in Canva and rebuild the banner and signs from the invitation.
Printed or digital invitations?
For a children's party, digital in the class group chat reaches every parent. For an adult milestone, a printed card gets taken more seriously. Every design works both ways.
What paper should I use?
250 to 300 gsm cardstock for invitations and cards. Standard printer paper for games and activity sheets.
