Wording ideas for a confirmation invitation
Most confirmation invitations open with a short line such as "Please join us as our son receives the Sacrament of Confirmation" or "Celebrate with us as Emma is confirmed in faith." Add the confirmation name if your child has chosen one, the date and time, the church name and address, and details for any lunch or party afterwards. Close with an RSVP contact and date. Keep the tone warm and simple so the design can do its part.
Personalizing your template in Canva
Open the Canva link from your PDF, click any text box and type your own details. You can change fonts and colors to match a theme, or tone down a palette if your teen prefers something more understated. Confirmation invitations questions
When should confirmation invitations go out?
Aim for four to six weeks before the ceremony. Confirmation dates are usually set by the parish well in advance, so you can often prepare the invitations early.
Which design works for a boy?
The Vintage Cross in black and white and the Greenery Eucalyptus design are popular for boys. Because all colors are editable, the Blue Watercolor Dove also works well.
Can I add a photo of my child?
Canva lets you upload your own images to any design, so you can add a photo if there is room in the layout you choose.
What paper should I print on?
A smooth cardstock between 250 and 300 gsm gives a sturdy, quality feel. Matte stock suits the watercolor designs especially well.
Is an e-vite included?
These designs are printable invitations rather than a separate e-vite format. You can still export a JPG or PDF from Canva and send it digitally by text or email.
Are there matching designs for other sacraments?
Yes. Our Baptism, Communion and Confirmation collection includes dove, cross and greenery designs for baptism and First Communion too.
